Free Illumina Workshops

We welcome applications to attend two free workshops with Illumina on Tuesday, June 4th and Wednesday, June 5th. Application is competitive with only 12 spaces available at each workshop.

Please read the workshop descriptions and apply using the form below, you may apply to one or both workshops.

Applications close at 12pm on Monday, May 20th and successful applicants will be informed by email on Friday, May 24th. 

16S Profiling Using the Illumina Demonstrated 16S Protocol

Tuesday June 4th, 2019
9am - 5pm

Please join us for a hands-on experience of the Illumina Demonstrated 16S Protocol, using your own samples. Learn from expert Illumina scientists as they guide you through:

  • Library Preparation & Best Practices
  • Experimental Design for 16S Profiling Projects
  • Data Analysis in BaseSpace ™ Sequence Hub

Up to two samples can be processed per person. Sequencing data will be delivered by the host lab, followed by a review Q&A session with the Illumina workshop team.

Illumina De novo Assembly Using the Nextera™ DNA Flex Library Preparation Kit

Wednesday June 5th, 2019
9am - 5pm

Please join us for a hands-on experience of our latest and fast, comprehensive DNA de novo assembly workflow, using your own samples. Learn from expert Illumina scientists as they guide you through:

  • Library Preparation & Best Practices
  • Experimental Design for de novo Assembly Projects
  • Data Analysis in BaseSpace ™ Sequence Hub

Up to two samples can be processed per person. Sequencing data will be delivered by the host lab, followed by a review Q&A session with the Illumina workshop team.
